1500 songs scrobbled and counting on Last.fm

I just looked on my Last.FM profile and saw that I eclipsed my 1500th song that was “scrobbled” – or played – from my library.  It’s pretty cool to look back at what my music playing habits, especially on a week-to-week basis.  Last week’s kick was Gym Class Heroes, we’ll see what this week brings.  It’s no surprise that Dave Matthews Band is at the top of my “total tracks played” list.

It’s pretty easy to knock out music while you’re studying.  I think while I was studying for my test 50-60 songs got scrobbled!  Work is also a good way to pass the scrobbling time.  It’s still a bummer that there isn’t an easy way to get the music off of your iPod/mp3 player. I know there’s that iSproggler, but I’ve had a lot of problems, especially when I share my iPod & Last.fm account across two machines.

Here’s to another 1500!

24’s Sutherland Mutilates Bauer Figure Prototype

It looks like 24 action figures are in the works, but one of the models won’t be released as hoped. It seems Keifer Sutherland was sent an advanced version of one of the 24 figures and decided to bring it out for a little partying. The end result? Well let’s just say he went “Jack Bauer” + “Chinese capture” on it. Too bad he didn’t realize it was a prototype. Check out the story – it made me laugh out loud in my cube.

DVR’s make "must see Monday’s" manageable

With the spring TV season in full swing, Monday has definitely become the night of “must see” shows.  The trouble is, my two favorite shows, Heroes and 24, are both on at the same time!  A year ago when I had the Series 2 Tivo, I would have been in trouble and frantically would have been plugging in the VCR to the bedroom TV.  However, for once I can say that I’m glad I had that Comcast DVR with the dual tuner, allowing me to record both shows at the same time.  Now it’s a simple matter of plopping in front of the couch for 3 hours straight (for Heroes, 24, and Studio 60).  Ugh, too much TV!

It’ll be interesting to see how NBC and Fox will battle for viewers for both of these shows.  I have a hunch that many of Heroes viewers are also rabid 24-lovers as well.
